Unreasonable Hospitality: Small Acts of Kindness for Big Impact

wrote a couple months ago about one of my new favorite business books, Unreasonable Hospitality by Will Guidara.

He has a fantastic Instagram account where he builds on the themes of that book and does a series called “Unreasonable Hospitality Out in the World”. And the other day, he showed us one example of the way a simple act of consideration and kindness can make a huge impact:

TL;DR:

A room cleaner at a hotel noticed a guest was out of toothpaste and left 3 small toothpaste tubes in his room for him, along with a short note. The guy was so touched by that consideration. He’s raved about it everywhere. If you can, watch the reel, it’s so good.

The point is, you are in a position every single day to use simple acts of kindness to surprise people with unreasonable hospitality. We all are! How lucky are we?

This not only impacts clients and has them raving about your venue, it impacts YOU.  It makes you realize that what you do matters. You have tremendous power to bring joy to people’s lives.

TO DO FOR YOU:

Plan one small, simple way you can surprise your next couple on a site visit with unreasonable hospitality.
