The wedding experts at Here Comes The Guide have been highlighting venues and serving up down-to-earth wedding planning advice since 1989.

Our women-powered small business started in California as the go-to resource for local weddings—and over the last several years we’ve branched out into the rest of the U.S.

Our groundbreaking website,, which launched in 1998, is both pretty and pragmatic. It showcases thousands of wedding venues with detailed info, fresh editorial, a clean interface, and Insta-worthy photos.

It was all going swimmingly...and then, 2020 happened. When the wedding industry came to a screeching halt.

After a momentary freak out, our CEO Meredith led the charge:

We know a thing or two about what makes a successful wedding venue.

I believe strongly that, when bad things happen, it's up to us to find every ounce of good that can come from it. There's got to be a purpose to the pain.

So, how do we make lemonade out of these horrible lemons?

You take advantage of the time to make your business better. Stronger. More ready for the changes that will happen after COVID-19 is over and to service the specific kinds of events that will become much more common.

At Here Comes The Guide, we're uniquely positioned to help you do this work. We've been deep in the trenches of the business of wedding venue sales for over 30 years. We know how the most successful venues are doing their work. We get honest feedback from wedding couples – what they love and don't love – about how wedding venues get the job done.

It was out of these lemons that The Venue Business Boot Camp was born. And it became so popular that we've made it an ongoing, evergreen course.

And did we mention it's free?

We hope you enjoy this educational content, made just for wedding venues.

Here's to making sweet, sweet lemonade.
