Your website has exactly one job.
Not to win a design award. Not to show off every square foot of the property. One job: get the right couple to book a tour.
Everything else is decoration.
And here’s the thing that keeps me up at night.
Most venue sites are quietly losing tours every single week, and the owner never sees it happen. No error message, no alert. Just couples who click away and book somewhere easier.
Grab your phone and run this quick check right now:
1. Is your pricing buried? Couples want a ballpark before they’ll fill out a form.
If your starting price is nowhere to be found, a big chunk of them assume “too expensive for us” and quietly leave. Give them a range. A simple “weddings start at $X” screens out the wrong fits and reassures the right ones.
2. Is your “book a tour” button easy to find? Pull up your homepage on your phone. Can you spot exactly what to do next in about two seconds, without scrolling?
If your call to action is a tiny link hiding up in the menu, you’re making couples work to give you money. Make that button big and unmissable.
3. Does your site actually load fast? Count the seconds while your homepage loads on your phone, on cell data, not your office wifi. Anything past three or four seconds and a lot of couples are already gone. Those gorgeous full-size photos are usually the culprit. Get them compressed.
Run those checks and you’ll almost certainly spot a leak you can plug this very afternoon.
