Sometimes, we can get big ROI without a lot of effort. This is one of those cases.
Because there’s one sentence that does more for your bookings than a whole-hog website redesign.
It’s the sentence that tells the right couple “this is the right place for you,” and gently lets the wrong-fit couple know it isn’t. Both of those things are wins.
Most venues fall into the trap of trying to appeal to every couple. But, in doing that – especially with Gen Z, they end up appealing to no one.
The couple skims, feels nothing, and clicks away.
The solution is a single positioning sentence. Fill in these blanks:
“[Your venue] is a [type of venue] for couples who want [the specific experience], with [packages] starting at [price].”
Watch how different two venues can sound:
“Willowbrook Farm is an intimate garden venue for couples who want a relaxed, nature-centered celebration, with packages starting at $8,500.”
“The Sterling Estate is a full-service luxury estate for couples who want a curated, high-design wedding weekend, with all-inclusive experiences starting at $45,000.”
You know exactly who each one is for, don’t you? That instant recognition is the whole enchilada. When a couple reads a sentence that sounds like their wedding, they’ve half-booked you before they ever even do the site tour.
So how do you find your positioning statement?
Start with an honest question: think back on the weddings you’ve hosted, and the one that made you think “this is exactly what we’re built for.” That couple is pointing you straight at your sentence.
